I spent a few hours this morning mainly waiting for my tent to dry from all the condensation. Headed out of the NP at approx 09h30…so fairly late.
I set off to Forster -Toncurry to do my laundry. I didn’t realise how busy these two combined towns would be! The bay though was lovely and tranquil…so still …no waves.
As I had finished around lunch time I decided to have a fish and chips… which included calamari rings. This was really tasty.
Next planned stop was the Cape Hawke Lookout. However I couldn’t get all the way up the hill as the road was closed due to helicopter moving equipment around in the national park.
With that mission aborted I carried on driving through the lakes area. The lakes around here are really rather large . As it is neither summer nor weekend …pretty quiet too. I set up camp at Nerine Campground and am the only one here for the night. My tent is only some 30m from the water.
I take the rest of the afternoon to read my book.
