The morning was pretty foggy, and so I gave up trying to dry anything and headed to Halies place … just over 1 hr away.
I did some shopping – had to get a mouse trap for the hidden creature eating my food !! Also some groceries and finally also got a small set of binoculars.
I stopped by Caves Beach on the way, but it was high tide and thus not possible to explore any of the caves- I just had a walk on the beach instead.
I met Halie in PNG as we worked on the same project- she stays in Yarramalong on a small property with her folks. I was excited to meet the people and animals she spoke of ! Especially Jess and Paco- the doggies!!
We spent a few minutes catching up and also calling people on Teams meetings to surprise them, which was fun. While Halie finished off some work I unpacked and also got to updating the blog.
The next afternoon Halie took me around the hood so to speak and we went to Wollombi for lunch at the pub. As we came in 3 guys were leaving in their helicopters !!! What!?!?
The village is very small and full of character homes and stunning stone buildings !
We carried on down the road towards Cessnock to check out Halie’s newest property and renovation progress. Hopping directly across the street we went over to Halie’s brothers place to meet the family .
